Class Size Matters is a non-profit organization that advocates for smaller classes in NYC’s public schools and the nation as a whole. I took up this cause locally to address the school overcrowding and in particular, how class size effects not only the education a student gets but also their entire future. The direct mail brochure is placed in a re-usable shopping bag and given out at PTA meetings in addition to being mailed out to families in District 44. It is further reinforced with the advertisements in shopping carts at the local grocery store.

Ronald McDonald House Charities - Chicago and Northwestern Indiana were in the process of building a 14-story home in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago near Children’s Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Memorial. They rely on donations to provide this free service and needed a big push for donations in order to begin construction in 2011. This direct mail appeal for donations is based on a very touching letter written by a grateful parent.
